lethalverses and a spider

It's been a year since my last attempt at charcoal drawing (mind my choice of not using "painting" because they definitely won't qualify as such) - except for some sporadic moments when I'll just scribble and sketch, most often with a ballpoint pen to kill boredom away.

And I never thought I'll be inspired to draw again, until early last night when Hanae Bagabaldo, one of my prettier officemates, brought her artist's book containing clippings of her drawings.

I swear to all pitumputpitongputingtupa - I haven't met a woman who draws like her. Patience evidently characterizes her works: mundane details are present, and need I mention that she creates backdrops with stunning effects?

To cut the story short, I was inspired to draw again. And this time, I am commissioned to do a spidey - not the eight-legged insect I dreaded but that "parker boy".

okay, maghuhugas muna ako ng kamay. Sana lang matanggal ang mga lead na sumingit sa kuko ko hehehe...

...thanks to Michael Turner of Marvel Comics for his Wizard #179 cover art (opo, ginaya ko lang ito dun)
