two roads
diverging into two…
one traveler,
one moment,
one decision,
one time.
but
I cannot see beyond
from where I stand,
for the steps are
almost always
the SAME
at the beginning,
but treacherous;
for in the middle
might lie
thorns
and wounded trails.
so shall I just stay
and stop my journey,
fearing to risk
stumbling upon a darkness
that might await me?
embracing
the painful truth
that the previous days
are all but futile,
dooming to me NOW
and offering
my lethargic existence?
YET although
the breeze here
are soft and delicate,
much safer than
the risks ahead,
I lifted my feet
and chose a path
among these diverging roads,
…aware
that the journey ahead
is for my legacy,
for love…
